The Danse Macabre Keycaps are a unique keycap set that merges artistic expression with deep symbolism, inspired by the Memento Mori theme from medieval art. Crafted from PBT and high-transparency PC, the set includes 186 keycaps in a Cherry profile, featuring a combination of translucent ruby red, deep black, and metallic gold hues that create a jewel-like aesthetic. Each keycap is 1.7mm thick, with metallic ink printing enhancing the overall design. The designer, Amamiya, drew inspiration from personal reflections on life's fragility following a recent earthquake in Taiwan, aiming to remind users to cherish every moment. The design incorporates elements such as skulls, roses, and thorns, symbolizing the cycle of life and death, while the contrasting colors emphasize the beauty and transience of existence. This keycap set is not only visually striking but also carries a profound message about mortality.
