Unikeys X BSUN Udon and BSUN Waves Linear Switches

The Unikeys Udon and Waves Linear Switches are two new offerings from Unikeys in collaboration with BSUN, designed to enhance the typing experience. The Waves Linear Switch features a rail bottom-out design with a full POM housing, aimed at reducing unwanted stem wobble and noise. It operates with an operating force of 48±5g and a bottom-out force of 55g±5g, with a pre-travel distance of 2.0mm and total travel of 4.0±0.2mm. The sound profile is medium-pitched and less clacky compared to other switches, providing a fuller sound. The Udon Linear Switch, on the other hand, is a long pole bottom-out switch that uses a PA66 bottom housing reinforced with 30% fiberglass and a PC top housing. It offers a different tactile feel and sound, making it more clacky than the Waves switch, while maintaining the same operating and bottom-out forces as the Waves. Both switches come factory lubed and utilize a 22mm KOS single-stage extended spring, ensuring a smooth keypress experience.
